DOT, EPA, and OSHA Release Latest Regulatory Plans
Posted on 12/19/2017 by Roger Marks
This week, the Federal government released the Fall 2017 “Unified Agenda of Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions.” Updated twice per year, the Unified Agenda gives industry stakeholders and the public a view into rulemaking activities in progress at major Federal agencies.
Lion staff is working now to summarize the relevant pieces of the Unified Agenda for hazmat shippers and EHS professionals. A Member Bulletin is forthcoming for current Lion Members, and a partial list of current hazmat, hazardous waste, environmental and OSHA safety rulemakings will be posted in this space.
Stay tuned!
Federal Agencies were required by Executive Order to finalize two deregulatory actions for every one new rule created in 2017. According to the Administration, in 2018 Federal Agencies plan to boost that ratio up to three-to-one. To check out the Agendas now, visit reginfo.gov.
We have a very busy work schedule and using Lion enables us to take the course at our own time. It makes it easy for me to schedule my employees' training.
