TSCA CDR Reporting Deadline Extended to October 31

Posted on 9/19/2016 by Roger Marks

Update 09/26/16: EPA posted official notice of the TSCA CDR deadline extension in the Federal Register today.

US EPA has announced it will extend the deadline for chemical manufacturers, importers, and processors who must report chemical data under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) from September 30 to October 31, 2016.

The extension is expected to officially appear in the Federal Register this week. A pre-publication version of the Rule can be found here.

Industry professionals who report under the TSCA CDR, or Chemical Data Reporting, program face new requirements in 2016. Chemical manufacturers and importers must now assess production volume data from each year since the previous reporting year (2012). If the facility triggers TSCA CDR reporting requirements for any single year, all four years’ worth of production data must be reported.

Read about other changes to the TSCA CDR rules, including a lower reporting threshold (2,500 lbs.) for certain chemicals, here.
