New: Hazmat Security Plans for LNG by Rail
US DOT PHMSA is seeking renewal, with revisions, of an information collection request (ICR) related to Hazardous Materials Security Plans. The revisions will impact carriers that transport tank car quantities of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by rail.

A public interest law firm, Public Justice Center, is calling for an investigation at Maryland Occupational Safety and Health (MOSH). The law firm accuses MOSH of failing to follow its own policies and procedures for investigating health and safety complaints during the coronavirus pandemic.

Haz Waste Violations at Over 200 Stores Cost Retail Chain $1.49M
A home, bath, and kitchen supplies retailer is expected to pay $1,498,750 to resolve alleged violations of California’s Title 22 hazardous waste regulations at more than two hundred of its California locations. According to the settlement, the company improperly disposed of hazardous and electronic waste (e-waste) at local landfills that were not permitted to receive it.
