New RCRA Rules: T-Minus 20 Days

Posted on 5/9/2017 by Roger Marks

rcraclipboard.JPGFor hazardous waste generators, the next 20 days are critically important: On May 30, 2017, EPA’s RCRA “Generator Improvements Rule” takes effect. The new rule makes a number of landmark changes to the RCRA regulations that will have a major impact on the way your facility manages hazardous waste.

If you’re not yet sure how these changes will impact you and your personnel—now is the time to find out. Ready or not, the new rules are coming in 30 days and include big updates like:
  • A complete re-organization of the RCRA generator standards in 40 CFR Part 262
  • New requirements for marking and labeling hazardous waste containers and tanks
  • Expanded reporting and contingency plan requirements
  • New options to help manage “episodic” events without raising your generator status

Lion will present the final Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Webinar before the deadline, LIVE on May 23.
