Update: DOT Hazmat Rule for Highway, Rail, Vessel

PHMSA extended the public comment period for the rulemaking Advancing the Safety of Highway, Rail, and Vessel Transportation (HM-265) for an additional 90 days, until April 28, 2025.

US DOT agencies increased the maximum civil penalty amounts for violations of US hazardous materials shipping/transportation regulations, including for failure to provide hazmat training for employees.
