Spring 2017 Unified Regulatory Agenda Released
Last week, the Federal government released its semiannual update on regulatory actions to be finalized, proposed, or withdrawn in the coming months. PHMSA Pre-empts FDNY Hazmat Permit Fee
In the Federal Register yesterday, the US DOT Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) announced that the Federal Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) in some cases pre-empt hazmat inspection and permit rules created by the New York City Fire Department.

PHMSA and OSHA Prepare for UN GHS and Hazmat Meetings
To prepare for upcoming meetings at the UN, PHMSA and OSHA invite interested parties to attend public meetings on June 20 at the US Department of Transportation headquarters in Washington, D.C. Finally Final: PHMSA Publishes HM 215N Hazmat Harmonization Rule
To harmonize the US hazmat shipping rules with international standards, US DOT’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) officially published its highly anticipated hazmat rulemaking HM 215N to the Federal Register today.
