Vermont Bans PFAS from Food Packaging and More
On May 18, Vermont Governor Phil Scott signed legislation into law that would effectively prohibit the sale of certain products containing PFAS. The legislation will ban these “Forever Chemicals” from food packaging, ski wax, firefighting foams, carpets, rugs, and aftermarket stain and water-resistant treatments.5/10/2021

OSHA issued a $12,288 safety citation to a warehousing and distribution company in Naperville, IL for alleged safety violations related to a company meeting that led to 23 workers contracting COVID-19, including one who died.4/13/2021
Maine Autobody Plant Faces $400K in OSHA Citations
An autobody manufacturing facility in Waterville, ME has been issued citations from US Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). OSHA noted two willful and 10 serious alleged violations of Fall Protection and Noise Safety Standards, totaling $393,992 in proposed fines.
