EPA On Track for 2030 ODS Phase Out
The Montreal Protocol on Substances That Deplete the Ozone Layer was signed on September 16, 1987 and has been ratified by 197 parties (all member states of the United Nations, as well as Niue, the Cook Islands, the Holy See, and the European Union), making it the most universally adopted UN treaty or protocol in history.

PHMSA to Host 2020 ERG Meeting
The US Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (DOT PHMSA) will host a public meeting on June 17, 2019 in Washington D.C. to receive and respond to stakeholder input on the development of the 2020 Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG).

10 New Jersey Counties Rated F for Ozone Pollution in US Air Quality Report
New Jersey’s smog problem continues to worsen as the 2019 State of the Air report from the American Lung Association shows 10 counties rated F, the worst grade possible for ozone air quality, also known as ground-level air pollution or smog.

California Toxic-Free Cosmetics Act Fails Amid Industry Pressure
CA state lawmakers were scheduled to vote on the Toxic-Free Cosmetics Act on April 23, but the state Assembly’s Environment, Safety, and Toxic Materials Committee put off the vote when it became clear that supporters did not have the necessary votes to move the bill forward.
